Three steps, then nobody touches it
Create the gym, type the reader's serial, point the reader at the server. Everything else handles itself.

Nothing to open up at your gym
The reader dials out, like a phone checking for messages. No fixed address, nothing forwarded, no tunnel, no computer left on.
Selling the package opens the door
The door reads the package expiry directly. Renew it and access moves with it. There is no switch to forget.
Fingerprints enrolled from the member's screen
Press Enrol and the reader prompts within seconds. Nobody walks to the device. The template is stored and pushed back, so nobody enrols twice.
